Design Solutions was founded in 1998 by engineers Jim Smith and Greg Schultz. Our leadership team has expanded since then, adding John Ballard, and now has over 90 years of combined experience developing medical products.
Over the years, Design Solutions has experienced steady growth, and currently counts on a solid group of experienced, senior level engineers and technicians.

OUR LOCATIONS
Design Solutions is headquartered in Chanhassen, Minnesota USA with a secondary location in Littleton, Colorado. Chanhassen is located on the western edge of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metropolitan area. The Minneapolis/St. Paul area is home to many high tech medical companies. With its close proximity to the Mayo Clinic and the University of Minnesota Hospital, it has become a center for medical technology development in the United States.
